OCS, Portsea - Graduating Class of June 1973

Hello Everyone

Just like a typical Signals Officer I have to check all communications systems are functioning well and we are all connected. So, here is my first up-date:

So far I have written to Classmates across the nation and the world. To Gordon Cooper and Joe Apa in PNG, Bin Abdul Othman in Malaysia and Ralph Gunthorpe in Hong Kong. Email contact has been made with Paul Robinson & Graham McHaffie in New Zealand and (via Francis Sim in NZ) to Lee Tong Tai in Singapore who has said he will be coming to the Reunion. I have even had a telephone conversation with Cesar Lambo's relatives in the Philippines and am awaiting Cesar's return call.

As far as the Aussies are concerned I have made contact via phone and email with Julian & Heather Benett, Will & Doris Norton, Mick & Ina Saw and Don Patterson. I have written to: Jeff Bruce, Peter Klekner, Ted McPheat, Rudi Poldoja, Bob Berrey, Barry Greatorex, Tom Raleigh, Pierre Gregor, Andrew Ferguson, Shane Brosnan, Tony Alexander-Smith, Chris Donkin, Mike Defina, Tony Griffiths, Mark Howard, Peter Whyntie, Steve Elphick, Leigh Edwards, Dave Otton, Trevor White, Peter Cates and Col Varian and await replies.

Ian Robinson (Robbo) has booked the United Service Club for Saturday 7 June 2003 and has said the cost for a 3 Course meal plus drinks will be between $50-$60 per head for the Dinner in the Morton Room. He said there was also accommodation available at the Club for Non-Members at $80/Single and $100/Double per night including Breakfast.
