OCS, Portsea - Graduating Class of June 1973

Hello Everyone

You will see from the address list we have had a few additions. Since my last up-date I have heard from several other classmates. Dave OTTON has been a very busy fellow indeed. He has been contacted by Steve SANDERSON and he and his partner Hana-Claire have it inked into their diary. Between them David and Steve know where Dennis O'TOOLE is in Hobart and John DODD is in Tasmania and David hopes to find Andy GRIFFITHS on his 'old school tie' network. Greg FLINN contacted me and he too has joined the list. Robbo said he knows where Karl HARTMAN is in Brisbane and will be contacting him soon. I tried finding Ross GLUER through a political party in NZ but alas to no avail. But, I did receive an email from my great Kiwi mate Stan PILBROW saying he can't wait to join us. I also used the RASigs old boy network and found Paul & Margaret LOGAN (in Melbourne and they have it inked into their diary too) and Dick REID (in Canberra) - see it does work! David Otton's network gave us the contact details for Mick & Lynne STONE (they will definitely see us in June) and with the address for Adrian JACKSON in Victoria.

I have now contacted or have had contacted 58 of the 88 classmates. Of the 30 remaining I am still awaiting a response from my letters to the Malaysian & PNG embassy's seeking their assistance. I obtained the last known contact info for Nguyen Quoc LAP in the USA from Jenny BROSNAN and will send him a letter soon - so that just leaves the 18 Aussies, who are:

To-Date we have 76 (40 classmates & 36 partners) who have indicated their intention to try and attend next June.

In relation to "Memorabilia" for the occasion (apart from a CD) I have obtained a quote from a local Toowoomba firm for Engraved or Printed glassware. The costs of which are:

Engraved glassware:- can be personalised

Flute, Whisky or HiBall at $7.95 each (minimum order of 24 of each style)

or

Printed glassware:- cannot be personalised

Flute $5.90

Red Wine $6.80

Whisky $5.00

HiBall $5.00

Port $5.10 each (minimum order of 72 each style)

The basic design for the quote is for the "OCS Badge and 30th Anniversary Reunion, OCS June 1973 Graduating Class, Brisbane June 2003" included on each piece. We will be only taking Pre-Paid Orders for these.
