We are onto the home straight now and June is approaching fast. Robbo has (finally) liaised with the Central Brunswick Apartment Hotel and obtained their 'Government Rates' for those not wanting to stay at the United Service Club. They are:

Now, while I'm on the subject of Robbo - guess what????? He has had the final brain operation and has been PROMOTED to LTCOL - WELL DONE ROBBO!!!! He is on his way down to Sydney as we speak to take up his new position as Deputy Commandant, Regional Training Centre, Steele Barracks, Moorebank. I can assure you several of us POM's (Passed Over Major's) have given him heaps about being a traitor, the inside of a nut, etc but I'm sure several more similar messages won't go astray.

Back to the Reunion - Chris Watt will be taking orders for the engraved glasses very soon and I will be making the final arrangements for you to send your money direct to the United Service Club for the Dinner.

Apart from that, we sincerely hope all our Canberra Classmates did not suffer badly in the recent Bushfires and that they and their families are safe and well. Our thoughts and prayers are with them all.
