Hello Everyone

According to Steve's Countdown Clock on the website there are only 57 days to go until the Reunion Dinner, but who's counting! You will also note there has been a change to the Dinner Menu and we now have two choices for each course (to be served alternately) thanks to the excellent cooperation of Gerard at the United Service Club.

Steve has also amended the "Who is Coming" area into the three main functions; Friday's Brekkie Creek Pub Informal get-together (The Best Steaks in Australia), Saturday's Reunion Dinner, and Sunday's Picnic at South Bank Parklands. I have (finally) gone through my enormous list of emails and letters and extracted the names who have indicated to me your intention to join us in June and sent them to Steve for inclusion onto the website. If everyone makes it we will have 84 at the Dinner (to-date), an excellent number indeed!

We have done this so that we can have a reasonably close guess at numbers for each function to make bookings etc. Would you let me know (with a Cc to Steve Sanderson) your intention to attend one, two or all three functions at your earliest convenience please?

I have indicated a few of you with "to be confirmed" because you indicated work/leave availability requirements may not suit. We would like to know firm numbers as soon as possible but by no later than the middle of May please? And, your money for the Dinner to me by then too please?

The LIST of the LOST

My efforts to find John DODD in Tasmania have not been successful. The John Dodd I thought I found was unfortunately the wrong one, said he was never in the Army. Never mind, I will keep on trying. Same with Garry YOUNG and some others that I had leads for. Please keep your eyes and ears open for any news about them and the others on the list.

ADVERTISING

Our Reunion also made it onto the Army Website http://www.army.gov.au under "History", "Unit Associations and Reunions" and scroll down to fourth from the bottom. Cheryl Cates got us into the RSL Newspaper and our notice also appeared in the Vet Affairs Newspaper.

PHOTOGRAPHS

Don't forget to send me those photos for the CD please?

Talk to you all again soon. Take care.

Rob & Kaye
