Family Picnic, February 1973

"After the long overdue recognition of students' families, they could feel free to bring them onto the campus out of working hours other than under the guise of spectators at unit sports. Added to periodic balls, dances and after-church lunches, the campus could provide sporting, beachside and relaxation facilities which were equal to any around the Bay.

OCdt C.G. O'Donnell with daughter Karen Jane (now a captain in the army) was able to take advantage of the picturesque grounds to entertain old school friends who were visiting from Newcastle."
