Joined the Army as an RF Cadet, worked his way through the ranks to Sgt.

On graduation from Officer Training posted to 1 Inf Bde Wksps in Papakura. Spent 4 years in the Army after graduation, leaving as a Lt.

Started a heavy engineering and crane business in Taupo, became the most successful engineering business in the Central North Island.

A great mate, steady, reliable, a sudden heart attack ended his life May 1998.

Left behind his wife Lyn and two sons, Rowan and Todd.
